Audience

This on-demand refresher course is appropriate for employees, managers, and supervisors who may be exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances while on the job. The course also satisfies the annual refresher training requirement for those who have already completed the 24-Hour or 40-Hour HAZWOPER training program.

Training Requirements

Per OSHA standards 29 CFR 1910.120 and 1926.65, workers must complete eight hours of HAZWOPER Refresher training within 12 months of the anniversary date of their previous HAZWOPER training. Employees who fail to meet this requirement may need to repeat their initial training.

To successfully complete the training, students must spend the required time in the course, must validate their identity throughout the training, actively participate in all training without assistance, and pass the end-of-course final assessment with a score of at least 70% or higher in three attempts or less.
